Description

Slow Cooker Cranberry Chicken is a remarkably simple and flavorful dish perfect for any night of the week.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (jellied or whole-berry)
  • 1/2 cup French dressing
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
  • Nonstick cooking spray or a little oil, for greasing the slow cooker (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray or a bit of oil.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper on both sides and place them evenly at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the cranberry sauce, French dressing, and onion soup mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the seasoned chicken and cover with the lid. Cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker and taste for seasoning, adjusting as needed.
