Smoked Gouda Dip

  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This smoked gouda dip is a perfect blend of rich flavors and creamy texture, ideal for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz smoked gouda cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready to go. In a large bowl, place softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix these ingredients thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and evenly distributed.
  2. Add the shredded smoked gouda cheese to your smooth mixture. Stir well to incorporate the gooey richness of the gouda throughout the base. If you choose to enhance the dip with a fresh bite, fold in finely chopped green onions at this point.
  3. Take your oven-safe baking dish and transfer the cheese mixture into it. Spread it out evenly, smoothing the top with a spoon or spatula. This ensures even cooking across the entire dish, providing that delectable, slightly golden finish.
  4. Place the dish in your preheated oven and bake for about 20–25 minutes. You’re looking for the top to be hot and bubbly with a delicious golden layer. Once ready, carefully remove it from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving. This gives the flavors a moment to settle. Pair with your choice of crackers, bread, or crisp veggies for a delightful treat.

Notes

Ensure your cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps when mixing. The smoked gouda can be substituted with any of your favorite smoked cheeses for varied flavors.
