Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 7×11-inch baking dish.
  2. Add the fresh blueberries and sprinkle them with ½ cup to 1 cup of white sugar. Toss the blueberries until evenly coated with sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the self-rising flour, remaining white sugar, brown sugar, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring. Spoon the blueberries on top and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown. Cover edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
