- 3 cups fresh blueberries
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 cup white sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 7×11-inch baking dish.
- Add the fresh blueberries and sprinkle them with ½ cup to 1 cup of white sugar. Toss the blueberries until evenly coated with sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine the self-rising flour, remaining white sugar, brown sugar, whole milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring. Spoon the blueberries on top and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown. Cover edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
- Cool slightly before serving warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream.
