Description

This comforting dish combines flavorful meatballs with creamy sauce over pasta, perfect for dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 12 oz pasta (e.g., fettuccine or egg noodles)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, finely chopped onion, egg, salt, black pepper, and allspice. Mix gently until fully incorporated, then form 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in a single layer and brown them on all sides for about 10 minutes, ensuring they are cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  4. Lower the skillet heat and add butter. Once melted, mix in flour until golden brown, then whisk in beef broth, cream, and Worcestershire sauce, simmering until thickened (5–7 minutes).
  5. Return meatballs to the sauce to soak up flavor.
  6. Combine pasta with meatballs and sauce, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use lean ground beef and adjust the creaminess of the sauce to your preference.
