Sweetened Condensed Milk Snowballs

  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

These Sweetened Condensed Milk Snowballs are delicious, no-bake treats made with coconut and sweetened condensed milk.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups finely shredded coconut (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by gathering a large mixing bowl and adding the finely shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and, if desired, a pinch of salt. The salt acts to enhance the sweetness and brings all the flavors into harmony. Use a sturdy spatula to mix all these ingredients together until you achieve a sticky, dough-like consistency.
  2. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and place it in the refrigerator. Let it chill for 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Now that your mixture is nice and cold, remove it from the refrigerator. Using a tablespoon or a small cookie scoop, take a portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball using your hands.
  4. After shaping all the balls, roll each one in the extra shredded coconut until they’re fully coated.
  5. Finally, arrange the snowballs on a plate or tray, and return them to the refrigerator. Let them chill for at least one hour, or until they are fully set.

Notes

For the freshest taste, opt for freshly shredded coconut instead of dried. Don’t skip the chilling time, as it helps the snowballs maintain their shape and enhances the flavor.
