- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- Zest from 1 orange
Instructions
- Prepare Your Cake Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
- Caramelize the Oranges: Melt 1/4 cup butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Pour into the cake pan and arrange orange slices.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: Cream remaining butter with granulated sugar. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and orange zest.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the cream mixture alternately with milk.
- Bake the Cake: Pour batter over oranges and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Flip and Serve: Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate and serve warm or at room temperature.
