Description
Indulging in a dessert that seamlessly combines fresh fruit, creamy goodness, and a delightful crunch is a happiness that few things can rival.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Begin by gently combining the sliced strawberries with the granulated sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Allow them to macerate for about 20 minutes.
- While the strawberries are setting, take another bowl and combine the heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form.
- Next, toss the crushed graham crackers with the melted butter in a separate bowl. Mix until the butter fully coats the crumbs.
- Begin with pressing half of the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of your serving dish. Next, spread half of the whipped cream over this layer, followed by half of the macerated strawberries.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining graham crackers, whipped cream, and strawberries. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
Notes
For best results, use ripe, fresh strawberries and keep layers separate until shortly before serving.
