Ingredients

  • Royal icing or glaze (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugar: Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg and extracts until combined.
  4. Combine with Dry Ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
  5. Chill the Dough: Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  6. Roll Out and Cut Shapes: Roll the dough and cut with cookie cutters.
  7. Bake the Cookies: Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
  8. Decorate as Desired: Decorate cooled cookies as desired.
