Description
This festive and refreshing White Christmas Sangria combines seasonal fruits and traditional spices for a perfect holiday drink!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bottle dry white wine
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 apple thinly sliced
- 1 orange sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup
- 1/4 cup brandy or orange liqueur
- 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Start by washing the fresh cranberries thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities. Next, slice the apple and orange into thin pieces.
- In a large pitcher, pour in the whole bottle of dry white wine. Add the prepared cranberries, apple slices, and orange slices to the wine.
- Next, drizzle in 2 tablespoons of honey or simple syrup. Stir again gently until well combined.
- If you’re using brandy or orange liqueur, pour it into the sangria mixture now.
- Introduce the two cinnamon sticks and two sprigs of rosemary into the pitcher. Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 to 4 hours or better yet, overnight.
- When ready to serve, add a cup of sparkling water or club soda to the sangria, mixing gently. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sangria over the top.
Notes
For a sweeter drink, consider using sweeter fruits such as pears or peaches. The longer the sangria sits, the more intense the flavors become.
