Ingredients
Scale
- ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- For Thickening:
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
- ¼ cup water
- Final Touches:
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice

Instructions
- Start by preparing the sauce base in a medium bowl. Combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk these ingredients together until thoroughly blended.
- In a separate bowl, take your cornstarch or arrowroot powder and mix it with the ¼ cup of water. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Pour your sauce base into a saucepan and place it on medium heat. Gradually whisk in the cornstarch mixture, ensuring you stir continuously. Keep whisking for about 2–3 minutes as the sauce heats up and thickens.
