Ingredients

  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced into ¼-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the sliced kielbasa. Sauté for about 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is brown and crispy. Remove it from the skillet and set it aside.
  2. Lower the heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Let it melt, then toss in the chopped onion. Sauté for about 3 minutes until the onions start to become translucent. Next, add the shredded cabbage to the skillet, cooking it uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Once the cabbage has cooked, stir in the minced garlic and paprika. Return the cooked kielbasa to the skillet and mix everything thoroughly, allowing the flavors to meld together over the heat for another 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for 2-3 days, making it perfect for meal prep.
