- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

- Optional:
- 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon finely minced shallot
- Pinch smoked paprika or red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon crumbled blue cheese
Instructions
- Take your unsalted butter out of the fridge and let it soften at room temperature for about 30–45 minutes.
- Finely chop the garlic, parsley, thyme, and any optional flavor enhancers.
- Transfer softened butter to a mixing bowl and add in all chopped ingredients, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Shape the butter into a log using parchment paper or plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice rounds from the log and place on hot steak before serving.
