- 12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups broccoli florets (steamed or cooked)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add your cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions: 3-5 minutes for fresh tortellini, or 8-10 minutes for frozen. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Return the chicken to the skillet with broccoli and drained tortellini, toss to coat in the sauce. Adjust sauce thickness with broth or pasta water as needed.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with a combination of milk and Greek yogurt.
