Description

Get ready to fall in love with this Easy Homemade Monkey Bread With Vanilla Glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for sauce)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your Bundt pan. Generously grease the pan with butter or a nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and carefully separate each biscuit. To create the ideal bite-size pieces, slice each biscuit into four smaller pieces.
  3. In a zip-top bag or a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
  4. Take the biscuit pieces and place them in the bag or bowl with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Toss them gently until they are well coated.
  5. Layer the coated biscuit pieces into your prepared Bundt pan, distributing them evenly.
  6. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until all ingredients are combined and the sugar is dissolved.
  7. Pour the warm butter mixture evenly over the layered biscuit pieces in the Bundt pan.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate and let sit for an additional 10 minutes.
  10. Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the warm monkey bread. Serve immediately.
