Get ready to fall in love with this Easy Homemade Monkey Bread With Vanilla Glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for sauce)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk or cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your Bundt pan. Generously grease the pan with butter or a nonstick cooking spray.
- Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and carefully separate each biscuit. To create the ideal bite-size pieces, slice each biscuit into four smaller pieces.
- In a zip-top bag or a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
- Take the biscuit pieces and place them in the bag or bowl with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Toss them gently until they are well coated.
- Layer the coated biscuit pieces into your prepared Bundt pan, distributing them evenly.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until all ingredients are combined and the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the warm butter mixture evenly over the layered biscuit pieces in the Bundt pan.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate and let sit for an additional 10 minutes.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm monkey bread. Serve immediately.
