- 8 corn tortillas
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups lettuce, shredded
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/2 cup salsa
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Tostada Shells: Preheat your oven to 425°F. Lightly coat both sides of each corn tortilla with oil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning, and salt. Cook until beef is fully browned and onions have softened.
- Warm the Refried Beans: Warm the refried beans in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
- Assemble the Tostadas: Spread warm refried beans on tostada shells, followed by a scoop of seasoned ground beef.
- Add Your Favorite Toppings: Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado, cheese, and salsa. Finish with fresh cilantro and lime juice.
