  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tostada Shells: Preheat your oven to 425°F. Lightly coat both sides of each corn tortilla with oil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning, and salt. Cook until beef is fully browned and onions have softened.
  3. Warm the Refried Beans: Warm the refried beans in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
  4. Assemble the Tostadas: Spread warm refried beans on tostada shells, followed by a scoop of seasoned ground beef.
  5. Add Your Favorite Toppings: Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado, cheese, and salsa. Finish with fresh cilantro and lime juice.
