- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan, lining the bottom with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
- Beat sugar, eggs, and lemon zest together until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add melted butter, milk, and lemon juice, mixing well.
- Carefully fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients to combine.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth top.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over the cooled loaf.
