  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan, lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Beat sugar, eggs, and lemon zest together until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add melted butter, milk, and lemon juice, mixing well.
  5. Carefully fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients to combine.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth top.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over the cooled loaf.
