Description
The Elegant Cranberry & Brie Rose Pastry Blossoms with Honey and Thyme are a perfect balance of flavors, textures, and aesthetic appeal that make them a beloved addition to any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 120 g (4 oz) brie cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce (or cranberry compote)
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons honey (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven warms up, take your muffin tin and lightly grease it.
- On a lightly floured surface, carefully roll out the thawed puff pastry. Cut the pastry into 6 long strips.
- For each pastry strip, spread a thin layer of cranberry sauce, layer thin slices of brie cheese, and sprinkle fresh thyme leaves.
- Gently roll up each pastry strip starting from the bottom, creating a spiral shape that resembles a rose.
- Brush the tops of each pastry rose with the beaten egg wash and drizzle a little honey on top before placing the muffin tin in the oven.
- Bake for about 18–22 minutes or until the roses are golden brown, puffed up, and bubbling with deliciousness.
- Finish each rose with another drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of thyme leaves just before serving.
