  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 20 minutes (plus chilling)
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

These Festive Cranberry–Pecan Holiday Cheese Bites with Fresh Herbs are the quintessential party starter that perfectly blend sweet, savory, and creamy textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ⅓ cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
  • ⅓ cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Crackers or pretzel sticks, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, honey, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Using a spatula or a hand mixer, blend these ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. While your cheese mixture sets for a moment, take a shallow dish and combine the finely chopped dried cranberries, pecans, and parsley.
  3. Scoop out a tablespoon-sized amount of the cheese mixture and roll it into a small ball using your hands.
  4. Once you’ve formed all your cheese balls, roll each ball in the cranberry-pecan-herb mix, pressing gently so that each ball is fully coated.
  5. After coating, place the cheese balls on a serving board or plate. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

Notes

Ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature for a smoother mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
