Description
These Festive Cranberry–Pecan Holiday Cheese Bites with Fresh Herbs are the quintessential party starter that perfectly blend sweet, savory, and creamy textures.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
- ⅓ cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
- ⅓ cup pecans, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Crackers or pretzel sticks, for serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, honey, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Using a spatula or a hand mixer, blend these ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- While your cheese mixture sets for a moment, take a shallow dish and combine the finely chopped dried cranberries, pecans, and parsley.
- Scoop out a tablespoon-sized amount of the cheese mixture and roll it into a small ball using your hands.
- Once you’ve formed all your cheese balls, roll each ball in the cranberry-pecan-herb mix, pressing gently so that each ball is fully coated.
- After coating, place the cheese balls on a serving board or plate. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
Notes
Ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature for a smoother mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
