Description
A quick and refreshing radish salad combining the zing of lemon, the richness of Parmesan, and the herbaceous touch of dill.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bunch Radishes
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice and zest
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1/2 cup Fresh grated Parmesan
- 1 tablespoon Fresh dill, torn
- to taste Salt & black pepper
Instructions
- Start by washing your radishes thoroughly under cool running water to remove any dirt or debris. Once clean, use a sharp knife to slice them into even rounds, about 1/8 inch thick. This thickness is key to achieving that satisfying crunch in your salad.
- Once you have your radish slices ready, place them into a mixing bowl. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the slices and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Using your hands, gently massage the radishes for about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the olive oil, freshly grated Parmesan, and torn dill into the mixing bowl with the radishes. Stir everything together gently to combine, being careful not to crush the radishes too much.
- On a serving plate, spread the radish salad artfully, ensuring the radish slices are displayed attractively. Finish with fresh lemon zest, additional Parmesan if desired, and a sprinkle of freshly cracked black pepper.
Notes
Using classic red radishes will yield the best crunch and a pleasantly peppery flavor. You can also experiment with other varieties of radishes for unique tastes.
