- 1 lb ground beef
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into golf ball-sized meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the skillet, add mushrooms and onions, cook until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir for 1–2 minutes. Gradually add beef broth, whisking until smooth. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
- Return meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
Notes
Serve over pasta, mashed potatoes, or alongside roasted vegetables.
