Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can of tomatoes (28 oz), crushed or diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • ½ teaspoon of Tabasco sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 package of cooked egg noodles
  • 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by heating your skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the ground beef, breaking it into smaller pieces as it browns. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, then carefully drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to your beef and cook for about a minute until fragrant. Stir in the canned tomatoes, honey, and season with salt, pepper, and Tabasco sauce. Toss in the bay leaf and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles, softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, and sour cream. Mix until all the noodles are evenly coated and creamy.
  4. Grease your baking dish and spread half of the creamy noodle mixture on the bottom. Spoon half of the beef sauce over the noodles. Repeat these layers, finishing with the remaining beef sauce and topping with grated cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.
