Description
A hearty and delicious dinner that the whole family will love, these Italian meatballs are bursting with flavor and tenderness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Begin by soaking the breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes. This will allow them to absorb moisture and become soft, creating a beautiful texture in your meatballs.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Using your hands, gently mix the ingredients together. Be careful not to overwork the mixture.
- Take a small amount of the mixture and shape it into balls approximately 1.5 inches in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs to the skillet in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Brown the meatballs on all sides until they reach a golden crust, about 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer them to a pot containing simmering marinara sauce and let them simmer for about 25–30 minutes.
- Serve the meatballs hot over your favorite pasta or enjoy them as is. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
