Description

A delicious blend of sweet and spicy flavors that elevates any dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan set over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Stir these ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
  2. Introduce 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the finely minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon of coarse ground black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt to your base. Stir the mixture well to ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  3. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help the flavors meld and the sauce thicken slightly. Once the garlic is fragrant and the sauce has thickened to your liking, remove it from the heat and let it cool.
  4. If desired, pour the sauce through a fine mesh sieve to remove any chunky bits for a smoother texture.

Notes

Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
