Description
If you’ve ever searched for a dish that combines ease of preparation with rich flavors, Incredible Baked Meatballs are your answer. This recipe transforms simple ingredients into tender, juicy meatballs bursting with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound hamburger, grass-fed if possible
- 2 eggs, beaten with 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 cup panko or bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, minced or grated (1/2 a large onion)
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup minced fresh flat-leaf parsley or basil
Instructions
- Begin by gathering your ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Using clean hands or a wooden spoon, combine the hamburger, eggs, milk, Parmesan, and panko or bread crumbs. Add the minced onion and garlic, followed by the oregano, salt, freshly ground pepper, and parsley. Mix until all the components are evenly distributed throughout the meat mixture.
- Once your mixture is ready, begin forming golfball-sized meatballs using your hands. Arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the baking tray on the middle rack and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit for beef.
- If preferred, after baking, you can place the meatballs in a crockpot with your favorite marinara sauce and allow them to soak for additional flavor enhancement. Simmer on low heat as you prepare your side dishes.
Notes
Consider substituting beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Add finely chopped spinach or grated carrots for added nutrition.
