Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 3 large eggs (for cake)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (for cheesecake)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or sour cream
- 1 package strawberry gelatin mix (optional)
- 20 Golden Oreos, crushed
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 cups whipped topping or frosting
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line your two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth. Divide into pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- For the cheesecake, beat together cream cheese and sugar, then add vanilla, eggs, and cream. Pour into a lined pan and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 40-45 minutes. Chill.
- Mix crushed Oreos with freeze-dried strawberries and melted butter to create the crumble topping.
- Assemble your cake with layers and frost with whipped topping. Apply crumble topping and chill before serving.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature before mixing for the best texture. Freeze-dried strawberries help avoid sogginess.
