Description

Your taste buds deserve a treat, and the Best Samoa Pie Recipe is an irresistible indulgence that’ll leave everyone asking for seconds!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for layering)
  • 1 ½ cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • ~10 ounces sweetened condensed milk (⅔ of a 14 oz can)
  • 45 ounces salted caramel sauce
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously spray a 9-inch pie dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter and let it cool slightly. Then, whisk in one large egg along with the packed light brown sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Incorporate the all-purpose flour and salt into your mixture, stirring just until everything is combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pie dish and bake for about 10–12 minutes or until the edges start to firm up slightly.
  5. Once the crust reaches the right consistency, take it out of the oven. Sprinkle the ¾ cup of chocolate chips over the crust. Add the sweetened shredded coconut evenly across the top.
  6. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the toppings, followed by a drizzle of salted caramel sauce. Return your pie to the oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  7. After baking, allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack for at least 4 hours. Melt the remaining ¾ cup of chocolate chips and drizzle it over the cooled pie.

Notes

For cleaner slices, ensure the pie cools fully before cutting it; patience is key here.
