Perfectly crispy chicken wings coated in a sweet and savory glaze, made easy with the air fryer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the wings by patting them dry, seasoning with salt and pepper, and lightly coating with cornstarch.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the wings in a single layer, cooking for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  3. Make the sticky sauce by combining soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and sriracha until smooth.
  4. Once cooked, toss the wings in the sauce until well coated.
  5. Return the sauced wings to the air fryer at 380°F (190°C) for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  6. Garnish the wings with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
