- 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp sriracha (optional, for heat)
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the wings by patting them dry, seasoning with salt and pepper, and lightly coating with cornstarch.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the wings in a single layer, cooking for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Make the sticky sauce by combining soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and sriracha until smooth.
- Once cooked, toss the wings in the sauce until well coated.
- Return the sauced wings to the air fryer at 380°F (190°C) for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Garnish the wings with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken wings with tofu or cauliflower.
