Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking dish.
  2. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Stir wet and dry ingredients together carefully.
  5. Fold in blueberries gently.
  6. Spread batter in baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
