- For the frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper and grease the sides.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until just mixed.
- Fold in chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
- Press the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the cookie cake cool completely and prepare the frosting by mixing softened butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Frost the cooled cookie cake and enjoy!
