Description
A delicious, quick, and satisfying dinner option featuring ground beef infused with bold Korean flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger (optional)
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Start by bringing a medium saucepan filled with water to a boil. Add the instant ramen noodles and let them cook for about 2 to 3 minutes — just until they are tender but not overly soft. Once cooked, drain the noodles in a colander and set them aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook it while breaking it apart and stirring frequently for around 5 to 7 minutes until well-browned. Drain excess grease but leave a small amount.
- Lower the heat and introduce minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, and rice vinegar in a small bowl. Pour the sauce over the beef and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
- Incorporate the cooked ramen noodles into the skillet and toss until well-coated and heated through for about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Garnish with green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes before serving.
Notes
Adjust the spiciness with gochujang according to your heat preference.
