Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup salted butter, room temperature
- 5 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon maple extract
- ½ cup finely chopped pecans
- 36 pecan halves (for topping)
Instructions
- Begin by creaming the room-temperature butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl using a hand mixer.
- While your dough is resting, take three mini muffin pans and generously spray them with cooking spray or line them with mini muffin papers.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the dark brown sugar, melted salted butter, eggs, maple extract, and finely chopped pecans.
- Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Once the tarts have chilled, remove one pan from the refrigerator.
- Place your filled muffin pan in the preheated oven. Bake for about 18 minutes, or until the tops of the tassies turn a lovely golden brown.
Notes
Ensure to monitor the baking closely, as baking times may vary slightly based on your oven and avoid overfilling the tart cups.
