- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and sliced thin

Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and greasing a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, and granulated sugar and whisk until smooth. Add in the spices and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix on top without mixing.
- Add thinly sliced cold butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes until golden brown on top and slightly jiggly in the center.
