  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 10 oz can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, softened cream cheese, and drained Rotel tomatoes until smooth.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper; mix until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Shape into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Always drain the Rotel tomatoes thoroughly to prevent a soggy mixture. Shredding your own cheese will yield a better melt and flavor.
