Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two baking sheets.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine unsalted butter, sugar, and honey over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and fold in flour, baking powder, and vanilla into a glossy dough.
  4. Fold in sliced almonds and candied orange peel.
  5. Drop dollops of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing at least 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  7. Let cookies rest on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
  8. Melt dark chocolate and dip the bottoms of cooled cookies, allowing excess to drip off. Set on parchment paper to harden.
