  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let rest for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Blend butter and salt in a mixing bowl; add eggs and mix until smooth.
  3. Add yeast mixture to the bowl; combine well and sift in all-purpose flour.
  4. Knead mixture until soft and pliable dough forms.
  5. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Punch down the dough and roll out into a rectangle (12×18 inches).
  9. Sprinkle lemon zest and blueberries on the rolled-out dough.
  10. Roll up the dough tightly and slice into 12 pieces; place in greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  11. Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  12. Prepare glaze with powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  13. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  14. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls after baking.
