Description

These Mediterranean Greek Chicken Burgers with Herbs and Feta are a delicious twist on classic burgers, featuring juicy chicken patties infused with fresh herbs and creamy feta cheese!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Burger buns or pita, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gather your ground chicken, crumbled feta, minced garlic, chopped red onion, and your fresh herbs. Add in the lemon zest, a drizzle of olive oil, and settle it with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper. Use your hands or a spatula to mix the ingredients gently until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to tough patties.
  2. Once your mixture is well combined, divide it into four equal portions. With your hands, gently shape each portion into a patty, ensuring they are uniform in size for even cooking. Aim for patties that are about ¾-inch thick.
  3. Preheat your grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface. Cook the shaped patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a lovely golden brown crust and are fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
