Description
These Mediterranean Greek Chicken Burgers with Herbs and Feta are a delicious twist on classic burgers, featuring juicy chicken patties infused with fresh herbs and creamy feta cheese!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Burger buns or pita, for serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, gather your ground chicken, crumbled feta, minced garlic, chopped red onion, and your fresh herbs. Add in the lemon zest, a drizzle of olive oil, and settle it with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper. Use your hands or a spatula to mix the ingredients gently until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to tough patties.
- Once your mixture is well combined, divide it into four equal portions. With your hands, gently shape each portion into a patty, ensuring they are uniform in size for even cooking. Aim for patties that are about ¾-inch thick.
- Preheat your grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface. Cook the shaped patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a lovely golden brown crust and are fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
