No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Truffles

  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Yield: 24 servings 1x

Description

Refreshing bite-sized truffles that capture the essence of orange creamsicles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • Orange sprinkles or additional zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking your softened cream cheese and placing it into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese on medium speed until it transforms into a smooth and creamy texture.
  2. Continuing with your mixer on a low speed, gradually add in the powdered sugar. Mix until the sugar is fully combined.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until everything is well combined.
  4. To make it easier to shape the truffles, cover and place the mixture in the refrigerator for about one hour.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop out the chilled mixture and shape them into approximately 1-inch balls.
  6. Next, pop those truffles into the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Grab your white chocolate chips and put them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the chocolate in the microwave until fully melted and smooth.
  8. Retrieve the truffles from the freezer and dip each one into the melted white chocolate.
  9. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle some orange sprinkles or additional zest atop the truffles.
  10. To finish, refrigerate the truffles until the chocolate is completely set, which should take about 10 minutes.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened before mixing for a smooth consistency.
