Description
Refreshing bite-sized truffles that capture the essence of orange creamsicles.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- Orange sprinkles or additional zest for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by taking your softened cream cheese and placing it into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese on medium speed until it transforms into a smooth and creamy texture.
- Continuing with your mixer on a low speed, gradually add in the powdered sugar. Mix until the sugar is fully combined.
- Mix in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until everything is well combined.
- To make it easier to shape the truffles, cover and place the mixture in the refrigerator for about one hour.
- Using a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop out the chilled mixture and shape them into approximately 1-inch balls.
- Next, pop those truffles into the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- Grab your white chocolate chips and put them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the chocolate in the microwave until fully melted and smooth.
- Retrieve the truffles from the freezer and dip each one into the melted white chocolate.
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle some orange sprinkles or additional zest atop the truffles.
- To finish, refrigerate the truffles until the chocolate is completely set, which should take about 10 minutes.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is fully softened before mixing for a smooth consistency.
