Description

An irresistible dinner option that satisfies without a fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g noodles (any variety)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 bell pepper, julienned
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles by following the package instructions. Once done, drain them well and set aside. This is essential to avoid soggy noodles in the stir fry.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Mix until the sugar dissolves, then set aside.
  3. Warm sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced onions. Stir-fry these ingredients for about 2 minutes.
  4. Introduce the carrot and bell pepper slices to the pan, stir frying for an additional 2 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Now, integrate the pre-cooked noodles and pour the sauce mixture over top. Stir thoroughly to coat every strand and ingredient evenly. Continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Conclude your stir fry with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and garnish of fresh cilantro. Serve immediately to enjoy while hot.

Notes

To avoid soggy noodles, ensure they are drained well and not overcooked; serve immediately for best flavor.
