Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water (for slurry)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 2–3 cups cooked white rice (optional)
- Sesame seeds or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions if serving over rice.
- Warm the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until soft, then add the garlic.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Whisk together soy sauce, honey, hoisin, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Add broccoli and sauté until tender-crisp.
- Pour sauce and cornstarch slurry over beef and broccoli, cooking until thickened.
- Serve over rice and garnish as desired.
Notes
For meal prep, store components separately in airtight containers to maintain freshness.
