Refreshing Summer Peach Fruit Salad

  • Author: Alioui
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This delightful dish boasts the sweet, juicy goodness of ripe peaches combined with vibrant fresh raspberries and blackberries, making it a perfect choice for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing the fresh raspberries and blackberries. It’s essential to rinse them thoroughly to remove any dirt or pesticides, and after washing, gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Next, prepare the peaches. Slice each peach into thin wedges, ensuring they are ripe but not overly soft.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, carefully place the sliced peaches, raspberries, and blackberries together. Make sure to arrange them beautifully to maintain their natural charm. Stir gently, keeping in mind that berries can be delicate, and you don’t want to mash them.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, and finely grated lemon zest until they blend into a smooth dressing. Once prepared, drizzle the dressing over the combined fruits in your mixing bowl. Gently toss everything together.
  4. Once your fruit salad is nicely dressed, sprinkle it with freshly chopped mint. If you’re using sea salt, adding a pinch of it at this stage can help bring out the sweetness of the fruits. Serve the salad immediately or allow it to chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes if you prefer it cold.

Notes

For the best texture, consume the salad within a few hours of preparation. Consider adding a splash of orange juice for an additional layer of citrus flavor.
