Description
This Tomato Garlic Salad is a delightful and refreshing dish bursting with flavors from fresh beefsteak tomatoes and garlic.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5–6 beefsteak tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by making the dressing that gives this salad its characteristic creamy texture and flavor. In a small mixing bowl, combine ⅓ cup of sour cream with ¼ cup of mayonnaise. Add the grated garlic cloves to the bowl. Stir them together until the mixture is smooth and well-blended.
- Take the 5–6 beefsteak tomatoes and rinse them thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Cut off the tops and slice each tomato into quarters, then chop them into bite-sized chunks.
- Once you have your dressing ready and tomatoes chopped, it’s time to bring everything together. Drizzle the creamy dressing over the tomatoes. Next, add the 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped dill. Using a spatula or large spoon, gently toss the tomatoes with the dressing, ensuring every piece is nicely coated.
- After mixing, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste over the salad. Gently fold everything again to combine the seasonings and let the salad chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
