Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onions
  • 2 cups instant rice
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Slice smoked sausage into ½ inch pieces, brown in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add water, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, dried onions, sea salt, rice, peas, and Dijon mustard.
  3. Bring to a mild boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until most liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet to prevent sticking. Instant rice is ideal due to its quick cooking time. Adjust if using regular rice.
