- 250g ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1.5 tablespoons chili oil (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Salt, for pasta water
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Begin the cooking process by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta water before draining.
- Next, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add neutral oil, and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
- Lower heat, add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in soy sauce, chili oil, brown sugar, and rice vinegar into the skillet, stirring to combine and simmering for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing until coated in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Turn off the heat, drizzle sesame oil, fold in chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.
