Description

Easy Baked Gorgonzola Pears are a delightful appetizer that combines sweet pears with creamy Gorgonzola cheese, drizzled with honey and finished with thyme.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 100 grams (about 3.5 oz) Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons honey, for natural sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, for an aromatic touch
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts, for extra crunch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the pears by washing and slicing them in half lengthwise; core them.
  3. Fill the hollowed centers of each pear half with Gorgonzola cheese.
  4. Drizzle honey over the stuffed pear halves.
  5. Season with fresh thyme leaves and cracked black pepper.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped walnuts upon removing from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

Pears should be slightly soft but firm enough to hold their shape during baking.
