- 2 to 3 pounds beef ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- 1 cup apple butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the ribs by removing the thin membrane and rinsing under cold water. Pat dry.
- Mix apple butter, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper into a sauce.
- Rub the sauce over the ribs.
- Place ribs in slow cooker and pour remaining sauce over them.
- Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
- Remove ribs, place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Broil with additional apple butter sauce for 5-7 minutes.
- Let rest and serve with extra sauce.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness by altering brown sugar amounts to taste.
