- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 onion, diced

- 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk

- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Instructions
- Start by combining the Greek yogurt, garam masala, cumin, coriander, curry powder, turmeric, chili powder, and lemon zest in a mixing bowl. Coat your chicken pieces thoroughly and allow to marinate.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Once hot, sear the chicken pieces until golden-brown.
- Add diced onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and sauté until golden.
- Stir in the tomato paste and coconut milk, mixing until smooth.
- Place browned chicken back in the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Serve garnished with cilantro, almonds, or yogurt, paired with basmati rice or naan.
