- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Christmas sprinkles (for rolling or topping)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add the granulated sugar and beat until fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate dry mixture into wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop portions of dough and roll into balls. Roll each ball in Christmas sprinkles or press sprinkles on top.
- Arrange dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool on the pan for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
