Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Christmas sprinkles (for rolling or topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add the granulated sugar and beat until fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate dry mixture into wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop portions of dough and roll into balls. Roll each ball in Christmas sprinkles or press sprinkles on top.
  3. Arrange dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool on the pan for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
