Description
Delightfully soft and chewy peanut butter cookies that evoke nostalgia with every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Begin your cookie-making journey by creaming together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Once your butter and sugars are perfectly creamed, it’s time to mix in the creamy peanut butter until it’s fully blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- To enhance the texture of your cookies and reduce spreading while baking, chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- After chilling, use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion out balls of dough onto your prepared baking sheet.
- Pop your baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough and ensure the butter is softened to room temperature.
