Description

This Spicy Ground Beef Stir-Fry Bowl with Garlic Veggies & Steamy Rice is not only quick to make but delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ red bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ zucchini, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup steamed white rice (jasmine or basmati recommended)

Instructions

  1. Start by washing and chopping all your vegetables to ensure they’re ready to go when you begin cooking. Mince the garlic and measure out the sauces—this step is crucial for a seamless cooking experience.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up as you go. After browning, incorporate the soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar, then let it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic. Add mushrooms for 2 minutes, then add the broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry these for about 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drizzle with soy sauce.
  5. Assemble your bowls with a layer of hot steamed rice, topped with ground beef and garlic veggies. Serve hot.

Notes

Adjust the heat level by increasing or decreasing the chili flakes to suit your taste.
