This Spicy Ground Beef Stir-Fry Bowl with Garlic Veggies & Steamy Rice is not only quick to make but delicious!
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- ½ red bell pepper, sliced
- ½ zucchini, thinly sliced
- ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 cup steamed white rice (jasmine or basmati recommended)
Instructions
- Start by washing and chopping all your vegetables to ensure they’re ready to go when you begin cooking. Mince the garlic and measure out the sauces—this step is crucial for a seamless cooking experience.
- In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up as you go. After browning, incorporate the soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar, then let it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic. Add mushrooms for 2 minutes, then add the broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry these for about 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drizzle with soy sauce.
- Assemble your bowls with a layer of hot steamed rice, topped with ground beef and garlic veggies. Serve hot.
Notes
Adjust the heat level by increasing or decreasing the chili flakes to suit your taste.
