  • Author: Alioui

Description

These Sweet & Savory Peanut Butter Burgers combine creamy peanut butter with juicy beef for a unique twist on your classic burger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or preferred meat)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for garnish
  • Optional: crispy bacon for topping

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a dash of salt and pepper. Mix everything together until just combined. Be cautious to not over-mix as this can make the patties tough. The aim is to distribute the ingredients evenly through the beef without compacting it too much.
  2. Next, divide the beef mixture into four equal parts. Gently shape each portion into a patty about the size of your hamburger buns. Creating a small indentation in the center of each patty can help prevent them from puffing up during cooking, ensuring a more even burger surface.
  3. Place the patties onto your preheated grill or skillet. Cook them for about 4-5 minutes on each side, turning only once. This method helps in developing a nice crust on the outside while maintaining a juicy interior. Use a thermometer if needed; the ideal internal temperature for a medium-rare burger is 135°F to 140°F.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast your buns on the grill or in a toaster for a minute or until golden. Once everything is ready, start by placing a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked burger patty. Top it off with additional garnishes such as crispy bacon or even more peanut butter if desired.

Notes

Serve your delicious burgers immediately to preserve their juicy interior and enjoy the harmonious blend of flavors!
